New Venues opened for NEET PG

New venues were opened late in the night for NEET-PG. There was a great disparity between the number of Vouchers distributed and the Number of candidates who got allotment for center which is now partially corrected.

NEET PG Registration Crashed - Live Update

Distribution of Vouchers and Registration for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET) started today at 9:30 AM. There were big queues in front of the stipulated AXIS bank branches from early morning.

The things started smoothly but by about 10:20-10:30 things started going south. First people noticed increased waiting time for the registration page to appear. The time increased so that virtually no one was able to register for the exam after 11:00.

nbe.gov.in was the face-page for neet examination which forwarded candidates to neet.prometric.com for registration. But by about 3:30 the whole site went down and the neet.prometric.com began to forward the incoming connections to maint.prometric.com which shows a maintanance page as shown below

At about 4:45 the maintenance page disappeared and "Server too busy" notice appeared instead. But after 5 minutes the messaged changed to "Service not Available". But at about 4:50 pm I got a brief glimpse of the voucher entry page where I entered my voucher details and thus I am back to the waiting screen sans the header and the moving graphic

Though I am at the waiting page neet.prometric.com resumed to be unavailable. I will update the post when more info is available

Update : 5:40pm - The registration page is live once again. and I am back to the full waiting page

 06:40 pm my registration is complete. I couldnt get a venue in my home state of kerala but Chennai is also fine for me.
